    Saving Heirloom Tomato Seeds




    Saving seeds is a skill and some seeds are easier to save than others but we shouldn't let that intimidate us. Give it a go with one fruit or vegetable and grow it from there. Tomatoes are a popular place to start.

    Supplies:


    Ripe Heirloom Tomatoes
    (Pick the best fruit off your best plant)

    Glass / Ceramic dish

    Strainer

    Flour Sack Cloth

    Storage Containers (jars or paper envelopes)

    Squeeze Seeds

    Step 2

    Let Ferment

    Step 3

    Rinse

    Step 4

    Let Dry

    Step 5

    Package

    Step 6

    Store
