Take longer, fallen branches (with or without foliage - depending on desired look) and lay them out on the table to form a table runner. Lay the branches so they are running the same direction and interlocked in interesting ways. Use wire or string to help hold in place, if needed. Intermix glassware, and candles along the edges of the branches; add more texture with some berries or pods.
