Step 1: Dirt Game Boards

Find or create a few bare dirt spots where the kids can create their own 'game boards'. They can draw in the dirt and build their own playing surfaces.

Step 2: Outdoor Play

Kids will never come up short with ways to keep themselves entertained outdoors. All you need to do is lead them to the yard and give them a few starting points. Outdoor play is extremely beneficial for kids.

Step 3: Connecting to Nature

Keeping kids connected to nature is both physically and mentally stimulating. They're naturally engaged with all the materials they find and may even make a few new 'friends' along the way. We're doing our kids a favor by getting them outside as much as possible and giving them the tools to be creative, imaginative and resourceful.
